Dr Lavleen Kaur Sodhi is the Director, Sr. Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and Infertility specialist at Dr Sodhi’s Health Care Multispeciality Hospital & IVF Centre. She is also a visiting consultant at Fortis Hospital, Mohali & Cloud Nine Hospital, Chandigarh.
She has an illustrious academic record to back her present competencies. She completed her MD in 1995 from the prestigious P.G.I Chandigarh & her D.N.B.E from New Delhi, both in Obstetrics & Gynecology. During her M.B.B.S she also bagged the ‘Silver Medal’ in General Surgery in the final professional examination. After completing her Senior Residency from P.G.I, she served as Class-1 Medical Officer with the Punjab Civil Medical Services. Dr. Lavleen also served as a Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Guru Nanak Mission Hospital, Nawanshahr, Punjab. Later she had an opportunity to serve as Senior Consultant at the Z.N Sikder Women’s Medical College at Dhaka (Bangladesh).
However, Infertility Management was always her special interest & she trained in this speciality from the prestigious Melbourne IVF Centre at Ahmedabad, which is a premier infertility management institute in India. In addition, she further sharpened her skills in Laparoscopic Surgery at Joseph Nursing Home, Chennai. She is a keen academician and has presented several papers at various National & International Conferences. Dr. Lavleen Sodhi was the convener of the Chandigarh Obstetrics & Gynecological Society from 2010-2012 & Secretary of Menopause Society Chandigarh Region (CRMS) from 2018-2020.
Apart from providing the latest treatment in the field of ART (Artificial Reproductive Techniques), she also performs routine & challenging gynae surgeries along with handling Obstetric Emergencies. She is well versed with Endoscopic gynae procedures & is routinely performing surgeries like Laparoscopic Cystectomy, Myomectomy, Hysterectomy etc. & Hysteroscopic tubal cannulation, myomectomy, uterine septum resection, adhesiolysis etc.
Her name featured in the ‘Limca Book of Records’ for participating in the largest nutrition awareness campaign, creating awareness among 51,320 pregnant women in April 2019. The main focus was on folic acid levels for preventing congenital birth defects. She received the ‘Amar Ujala Pride of Tricity’ award in 2016 for her achievements in academic & social field.

Dr Asma has completed MBBS from GMC Jammu & MS (Obs & Gyn ) from GMC Srinagar. She has completed laparoscopic training from Laparoscopy Learning Center Hyderabad. She worked as an Assistant Professor in Deccan Medical College, Hyderabad for three years and Consultant (Obs & Gyn) in Care Hospital Hyderabad for two years. Then she was associated with IVY Hospital Amritsar and is now part of the team at Dr Sodhi’s Health Care.

Mr Akhand Prakash is a Consultant Embryologist & is associated with this institute since 2015. He is a practising Embryologist since 1998 with wide experience in various techniques including IVF, ICSI, Blastocyst culture, ICSI with testicular sperms, Cryopreservation of embryos, oocytes, sperms & testicular sperms, embryo hatching and embryo biopsy, etc. He is an active member of the IVF team at Dr Sodhi’s Health Care.
